An unidentified reader of TANATA recently posted an interesting comment beneath the post “Why Does A Black Man Appear On The Pope’s Shield?”— which was posted on November 21, 2009. We thought we’d comment on it. Here’s the comment (our responses are in italics and parentheses):
(Firstly, King Solomon was a product of David and Ethiopian beauty Bathsheba, which surely caused Solomon to be viewed as a man of color, in a day when skin color may not have mattered so much.)
King Solomon quotes a black woman, who says “I am black but beautiful, look upon me because I am black.” (This is actually a quote by the Beloved, who is a woman in the Song of Solomon.) There are also other references in scripture indicating that Solomon was a black man — solo mon/sun man.
See Song of Solomon 1:5-6. If this is true then Jesus must have also been black. (Don’t know how the commenter arrived at this conclusion, but because Solomon was a forerunner of Jesus, if Solomon was black … who knows?)
I believe that the image on Pope Benedict XVI’s shield is in fact King Solomon, the true power behind the throne of the papal system. He was the richest and wisest man in all the world. Wisest because he is “the hunter” also known as “the hidden one,” who formulated a plan to remain unseen through the passages of time. (This is fascinating, but the commenter does not provide a source for this. It would seem to be true that some efforts have been made to obscure Solomon’s racial identity.)
The undelying theme behind Freemasonry revolves around King Solomon. The roots of Freemasonry are essentially African. (We thought they were French and English.) The black Knights Templars (?) were said to have practiced rites involving worshiping the black head of Bapthomet. There has always been a secret black royal dynasty since Nimrod the black king of Babylon; and there are the same royal lineages of the black pharoahs of Egypt and the African Roman emperors like Septimus Severus. (?) Attilla the Hun was another. In his book THE TWO BABYLONS Reverend Alexander Hislop talks of the origins of papal worship and the alliance of the Assyrian/Osirian (now known as Ger man or war man) and the nubian master races. These are beings of angelic origin called Seraphim and Cherubim cast to earth from the heavens. Satan or Shaitan in the holy Koran is depicted as a black man. (This is news to us.) After the exodus of these dynasties from Egypt, Kush and Khamet, they (the Seraphim and Cherubim?) moved into Europe and India where part of their bloodlines were kept pure for further breeding while others were watered down from the black Moors to the Dravidians and Arian Arabic races and eventually into most of the caucasian people on the earth, apart from the original indogenes called mankind. The E3b haplogroup in the Y chromosone can be traced down into people of asiatic orientation.
(The commenter loses us toward the end of his comment. This last statement is clearly false, if we’re reading it correctly. What we do know is that “scientific Adam” originated in what we know today as Ethiopia, and that all other races evolved from this one man, according to Spencer Wells, Ph.D. Is it possible that Freemasonry has in some way obscured Solomon? The Masons most definitely elevate Solomon, presumably because he built the temple of God, relying on Hiram and workers from Tyre to do so, which strikes us as odd since Freemasonry is purposely not aligned with any one religion. There must be some other reason that Solomon and the Queen of Sheba are so elevated by the Masons. Their blackness? We intend to research some of these points, and we’ll post what we find Ed.)
