But since there certainly no Biblical basis for assuming that the name of the unnamed "other disciple, whom Jesus loved" was John simply because man-made tradition later misnamed the fourth gospel because they mistakenly assumed that this unnamed author was the Apostle John.

Those who promote this erroneous tradition of men use circular reasoning to sell the idea that John is referred to in passages that never mention him but that rather talk about the anonymous author of the fourth gospel:

Jn. 13:21-28 (with Jesus at his last Passover)
Jn. 18:12-18 (with Jesus at his trial)
Jn. 19:25-27 (with Jesus at his cross)
Jn. 20:1-10 (first “disciple” to Jesus’ tomb - v.4, first to “believe” - v.8 )
Jn. 21:2-24 (first to identify Jesus at Galilee - v.7, author of this Gospel - v.24)

But since the Bible can prove that WHOEVER this author was he could not have been the Apostle John, those who love the truth will reject the John tradition because it does not hold up to Biblical scrutiny.
