Comments and Replies ... and Who We Are

TANATA is devoted to discussing the paradoxes and the mysteries of life, among which is the paradox of the coexistence of good and evil. “God is love,” John tells us. Evil exists, we would suggest, not because God is detached or unconcerned, but because free will exists which is required for true, unforced love to exist. Still, it is painfully hard to reconcile this paradox. We believe that all evil one day will be judged and destroyed, until then we must pray.

DANIEL 7:13-14

13 “I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him.

14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.

REVELATION 1:7

7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Our Mission

It isn’t enough to say life is weird and leave it at that. It isn’t enough to admit that our reality may just be part of a whole other reality about which we know nothing. It isn’t enough to weather the paradoxes of life, how it is, for example, that the people who are the most boastful are often those who are most insecure.

It isn’t enough to say that a red ball is not really red, but every color but red, which is the color reflected back to us. Red is the color that the ball didn’t want, so we see the ball as red. That means something in terms of time, space and light, relativity, something important about the reality we see in this dimension but for now we don’t know what it is. Suffice to say … things often are not as they appear.

We like alternative news about topics not in the mainstream. We like to showcase websites which come from the minds of people with alternative viewpoints who often think they know what the true ultimate reality might be as it pertains to life on the planet earth. Some of them might be right. What is important to us is not whether a person happens to be right about some confusing or alarming aspect of life, but that he or she took the trouble to try to figure out some confusing and/or alarming thing. In other words, just because we run stuff from another website doesn’t mean that we think the writer is right and that we agree with them.

We like to tackle subjects and topics which confuse us and alarm us, and others, with no promises or expectations that we can embrace them and understand them. We’ve had some weird experiences in our lives, and some weird ideas have occurred to us (and no doubt to you), and so we have opened up the flood gates and let the stream out on these things, letting them take us wherever they would.

Having said that, we promote Jesus as the greatest paradox of all, the son of God, a king from a line of kings, who was born into poverty, who came to serve and not to be served and who was brutally executed though he was an innocent man. That paradox and what it says about God is too compelling just to leave it alone. Thanks for visiting TANATA!
